For this year’s Art Fair, Studio H and Hoick was commissioned by Amy Ellenbogen to design a set of rubber stamps inspired by local cuisine. Each of the stamps feature an illustration of a seed indigenous to South Africa, including African calabash, Lusaka beans, blue maize and zebra beans. Hoick illustrated each individual seed to create a series of abstract, graphic icons. The seeds were sourced from African Marmalade, a women-owned farm and movement in Gauteng, dedicated to celebrating indigenous African crops. The stamps and seeds were on display at various events during Art Fair week, including the Nuru booth at the Fair, where visitors could create their own artworks by using the stamps with edible ink. You can now order these stamps as small interactive art works.

Allow 5 working days for delivery as the stamps are made to order.
